Kia Canada's latest announcement has set a new benchmark in the electric vehicle (EV) industry with the introduction of the 2024 Kia EV9. As Kia’s first fully electric three-row SUV, the EV9 not only expands the brand's electric lineup but also serves as a pioneer in the mass market EV segment.


Powertrain Options: A Blend of Performance and Technology


The 2024 EV9, built on Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), showcases advanced battery technology in two configurations. The 76.1-kWh battery variant offers a range of up to 370 km, while the more robust 99.8-kWh battery comes in two versions: a single-motor setup with a range of up to 489 km, and a dual-motor, 283-kW (379-hp) all-wheel-drive option with a range of up to 451km. The EV9's ultrafast charging capability is a standout feature, enabling it to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes.


Design Philosophy and Trim Levels


In line with Kia's commitment to sustainability, the EV9’s design and trim levels - Light, Wind, and Land - reflect a harmony with nature. Each trim level offers distinct features, with the Land trim available in two exclusive packages: Premium and GT-Line. The GT-Line package distinguishes itself with 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels and unique design elements.


Pricing Strategy: Accessibility Meets Choice


Kia Canada has strategically priced the 2024 EV9 to cater to a diverse consumer base:
