Service Counter Advisor

Planet Kia's Service Department is looking for a full time Service Counter Advisor to join our team! At Planet Kia we offer a great team environment, above average wages and benefits!

As an adviser, you will run inventory/stock/usage reports, maintain warrantable retention parts and dispose of at appropriate intervals. You must have strong phone & computer skills and be highly organized, as well as detail oriented. You must have the ability to work in a multi-line dealership type environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-        Checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules

-        Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.

-        Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.

-        Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.

-        Initial vehicle inspection/check in's

-        Helping to coordinate car washes

-        Answer phones/E-mail inquiries.

You will also be required to be crossed trained in Parts Duties which include:

-        Distribute parts to be installed, and charge out parts to appropriate Electronic Repair Orders.

-        Utilize Purchase Orders

-        Reconcile Physical parts waiting vehicles to Electronic orders, follow-up with overdue parts

-        Complete/Assist with physical inventories as needed.

-        Control inventory, returning obsolete or overstock, replenishing inventory of common usage parts/tires.

-        Organizing Parts/Tires areas

-        Coordinate other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements:

-        Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and up to 25 pounds regularly

-        Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic parts system

-        High School Diploma or GED

-        Minimum of six months of customer service experience

-        Minimum of six months of automotive parts experience, prefer Dealership experience

-        Valid Driver's License
